Account Manager

About the position

Playbuzz, a fast-paced, high growth venture backed start-up, is on the look-out for an Account Manager to support its existing Fortune 1000 clients and build new strategic partnerships. Based in New York, this position offers a unique opportunity for an experienced professional to develop new partnerships that will pivot our business into new innovative clients and opportunities to spur revenue growth and expand market presence.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of Publisher’s business and revenue and revenue goals in order to effectively manage ROI
  • Ensure Publisher’s timely and comprehensive launch onto editorial content platform
  • Proactively analyze all Publisher trends, escalating when necessary and keeping Publisher apprised of findings
  • Work in collaboration with Business Development and Editorial teams to further develop and nurture Publisher partnerships
  • Reinforce partnership value by running regularly scheduled meetings (monthly, quarterly) and presenting account reviews
  • Contribute to special projects of strategic importance at the direction of management

    Qualifications Include:

    • 3 years relationship management experience, preferably in a technology environment
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Proven ability to perform in a fast-paced, unstructured environment
    • Track record of strong project management or natural leadership skills
    • Fundamental understanding or exposure to the digital media, design and development methodologies.
    • Detail oriented with strong follow up skills
    • Consultative approach with proven relationship building experience
    • Proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills 
    • Proficient with MS Office
    • Familiarity with digital advertising, ad serving and HTML preferred
